Temperatures reach the mid 80s with a light northeast breeze around 5 mph. Humidity will be lower than it has been recently, making th is one of the more comfortable days for outdoor plans. The smoke may reduce air quality at times, so those especially sensitive to poor air quality may want to limit prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity. Otherwise, Sunday offers a quiet and pleasant finish to the weekend.  TONIGHT Mostly clear skies continue, although some haze or smoke could linger through part of the night. Temperatures fall into the mid 60s with a northeast breeze becoming calm during the evening. It should be a comfortable night for opening the windows, especially once temperatures begin slipping after sunset.  TOMORROW Mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the upper 80s. Winds remain light and variable, and most of the daytime stays dry. Humidity begins increasing later in the day as moisture returns from the south, but there should still be several hours of good weather for outdoor work, swimming, or squeezing in one more quiet summer day before conditions become much more active overnight.  TOMORROW NIGHT Clouds increase as showers and thunderstorms become likely, especially after 2 a.m. Lows hold in the lower 70s with a south to southwest breeze around 5 to 10 mph. Some storms could become strong or severe, with damaging winds, heavy rain, localized flooding, hail, and perhaps a tornado all potential concerns. Make sure your phone can receive weather alerts before heading to bed, since at least part of this activity may arrive during the overnight hours.  TUESDAY This is the main rainy and stormy day of the forecast. Showers and thunderstorms remain likely, although there may also be breaks of sunshine between rounds. Highs reach the upper 80s, with very humid conditions and southwest winds around 10 to 15 mph. Gusts may approach 25 mph even outside thunderstorms. Additional strong to severe storms are possible during the afternoon and evening, with damaging winds and locally heavy rain among the primary concerns. Tuesday is not necessarily a nonstop washout, but outdoor plans should remain flexible because storms could move through quickly and become intense.  TUESDAY NIGHT Showers may linger during the evening before gradually ending. After Tuesday’s storms and heavy summer air, Wednesday should feel almost like an early preview of September. It looks like an excellent day for yardwork, a lunchtime walk, or just giving the air conditioner a well-earned break.  7 DAY FORECAST Sunday and most of Monday remain dry, warm, and somewhat hazy because of wildfire smoke overhead.
