It’s a routine act at an unusual time for the traditionalist breakaway group recently found in schism with the Catholic Church. The Vatican excommunicated its bishops and priests for consecrating bisho ps without the pope’s consent. Diocesan bishops are urging Catholics not to attend SSPX services, but to worship at churches still fully aligned with the Vatican.
