The Utah Department of Transportation in early August will start work to replace two bridges on Interstate 80 at the Jeremy Ranch interchange. That work will last through summer 2027 and, UDOT said, ensure safer, smoother travel from Salt Lake City to Park City for all drivers. The agency wi ll use an accelerated bridge construction method that allows crews to build the new bridges next to the freeway and slide them into place during a short, planned closure, which should minimize disruption on I-80. Drivers should expect travel delays and lane closures on Homestead Road, though. The work will take place Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and nightly as needed. There will be up to two full weekends of full road closures on I-80 at Jeremy Ranch at some point in 2027, too. Drivers should expect to see trucks entering and exiting the work zone, as well as increased noise, dust and vibration in the project area.
