Ballet West Summit Festival The inaugural Ballet West Summit Festival runs Wednesday through Friday at various venues in Park City and Summit County. Wednesday’s event, “From Root to Relevé, is a farm-to-table dinner and performance that starts at 5:30 p.m. at Ballerina Farm. Thursday’s s chedule, “Raising Voices en Pointe,” features a free evening of two documentary screenings — “About Face” and “Ten Times Better,” at 7 p.m. at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, with a post-screening discussion with Ballet West Artistic Director Adam Sklute and director Jennifer Lin, producer Cory Lin Stieg and Final Bow for Yellowface founder Phil Chan. The festival will culminate with “Ballet West at the Summit,” a performance that starts at 7 p.m. at Canyons Village. Tickets for Wednesday’s dinner and Friday’s performance are available at balletwest.org/events/bwsummitfest. Bike ‘n’ Botany at the Swaner Preserve The Swaner Preserve EcoCenter, 1258 Center Drive, will host Bike ’n’ Botany from 8-10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The event, part of  the Walks, Talks, and Workshops program for adults, takes participants on a leisure bike ride on paved and gravel trails where they can identify noxious weeds. Those needing to borrow bikes can indicate the need at registration and EcoCenter staff will reply with details about how to access a bike for free from Summit Bike Share for the ride. Classic Cinema Series: ‘Stagecoach’ The Summit County Library Kamas Library Classic Cinema Series presents a free screening of John Ford’s landmark Western “Stagecoach” at 6 p.m. on July 16, at the Kamas Valley Branch, 110 N. Main St.  With Utah’s Monument Valley as a backdrop, “Stagecoach” includes a cast of John Wayne, in the role that made him a star, Claire Trevor, John Carradine and Andy Devine.   For information, visit summit.events.mylibrary.digital. Deer Valley Music Festival Opens The Utah Symphony | Utah Opera’s 2026 Deer Valley Music Festival opens with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 “Choral,” conducted by incoming Music Director Markus Poschner, at 8 p.m. on Friday and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Snow Park Amphitheater. Artists include soprano Jacquelyn Wagner, mezzo-soprano Camille Sherman, tenor Robert Stahley and baritone Zachary Nelson.
