Former tennis player Mardy Fish won his third American Century Championship title Sunday, beating 2025 winner Joe Pavelski by six points in the celebrity tournament. Fish had a 20-point day under the modified Stableford scoring system to get to 72 at Edgewood Tahoe. He also won in 2020 and 2024. Pavelski had an 18-point round. The former hockey player was the first-round leader, though Fish came into the final day with all the advantage. NBA and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was third at 59. Former NFL defensive end Dwight Freeney was No. 10 at 42. Fish is now tied with Tony Romo and Mark Mulder for fourth with three wins in the event. Romo, a participant this year, finished sixth with a score of 52. Rick Rhoden, a former MLB pitcher, holds the event record with eight wins. The 44-year-old Fish was awarded a crystal trophy and a white lab coat to signify American Century’s investment in medical research.
