Oakland police arrested three people and recovered multiple firearms, narcotics and cash during an investigation targeting violent crime, authorities said. The Oakland Police Department said Ceasefire officers identified a person on Wednesday with an outstanding felony warrant for weapons violati ons in East Oakland. Officers, assisted by the California Highway Patrol and its air unit, stopped the suspect’s vehicle near Orinda and detained two adults without incident, according to the police. Police said officers spotted a firearm in plain view inside the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered five handguns, an AK-style pistol and narcotics packaged for sale. Both occupants, who were prohibited from possessing firearms, were arrested on multiple felony allegations. Investigators later served a search warrant at a residence in East Oakland, where they seized additional narcotics and cash.
