Leaders on Friday announced new funding to upgrade the lighting at nine East Bay BART stations. BART is receiving $850,000 to install LED lights at the Coliseum, Downtown Berkeley, Fruitvale, Lake Merritt, MacArthur, Rockridge, San Leandro, North Berkeley and West Oakland stations.
