(WOWT/KOLN – Jul. 10th, 2026) – Jordan Larson’s professional volleyball career will continue for at least one more season. LOVB Nebraska announced Friday that the four-time Olympic medalist and team co-owner wil l return for the 2027 campaign. She had initially announced her retirement ahead of the 2026 season on Jan. 9 and played her final game on April 4. Larson finished last season ranked fifth in League One Volleyball with 234 kills and sixth in total points with 267. She also led LOVB Nebraska with 15 service aces, tying for fourth-most in the league. She was named 2026 LOVB Best Outside Hitter and earned a spot on the league’s Icons First Team after receiving second-team recognition the year before. In a statement released by the team, Larson said she reversed her decision after reflecting on whether she was truly ready to step away from the game. “This decision took time, and it came from a lot of honest reflection,” Larson said via a release. “I’m coming back because when I got still enough to truly listen, I realized the game wasn’t done with me, and I wasn’t done with it. There is more in me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep giving that to LOVB Nebraska.” Larson will enter her third season with LOVB Nebraska while continuing her role as a co-owner of the franchise. ...read more read less
