One person is dead after an early morning traffic collision involving a semi and another vehicle early Friday on the outbound Dan Ryan Expressway on the Near South Side. The wreck occurred at 12:09 a.m. in the southbound lanes at 26th Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office an d Illinois State Police. One person, an occupant of one of the vehicles, was pronounced deceased on scene, state police said.
