Homicides and non-fatal shootings in Baltimore City showed little change between May and June. While the total number of homicides increased by one incident, the number of non-fatal shootings stayed the same. There were seven homicides in June, up from six in May—a 17% increase. Non-fatal shootings remained at 26 incidents in both months. On June 10, Western District patrol officers responded to a shooting incident at the 1800 block of N. Payson Street. At the scene, officers located three, a woman and two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One of them, 22-year-old Rashad Howell, later died. The others received life-saving medical treatment. One of the homicides this month was a stabbing. On the afternoon of June 20, 56-year-old Shonda Singleton was found mortally wounded inside a home in East Baltimore. Baltimore Police Department( BPD) Eastern District officers responded around 1:40 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing.
