Injured teen walks into Philly hospital after Grays Ferry shooting, police say

A teen walked into a Philadelphia hospital overnight after being shot in the leg in the city’s Grays Ferry community and, police say, an investigation into the incident is now underway.
According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the incident unfolded just before midnight on T
uesday, when a 17-year-old boy walked into a Philly hospital after he had been shot in the leg.
He was hospitalized in stable condition, Small said.
Small said investigators quickly learned the boy was shot in an incident that happened along the 1600 block of South Newkirk Street.
Though, Small could not immediately provide further details on the incident, nor could he describe any suspects sought in this incident.
But, he said, an investigation into this incident is underway.
