The crash happened at around 11:15 p.m. on June 25, 2026, at the intersection of Kelly Drive and Reser
voir Drive after a white SUV traveling eastbound on Kelly Drive tried to make an illegal U-turn onto Reservoir Drive, police said.
After realizing the U-turn could not be completed, the driver of the white SUV tried to return to the eastbound lanes and entered into the path of 20-year-old Bryce Wolfe’s 2004 Triumph motorcycle that was traveling westbound, police said.
Wolfe struck the white SUV and became lodged underneath the vehicle, police said. The white SUV then dragged Wolfe “for more than one mile—from Reservoir Drive to the area of Fountain Green Drive—before the victim became dislodged.”
Police said that Wolfe was wearing a helmet and was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with a fractured right leg and extensive road burns on his head and face. But he was pronounced dead at 4:41 a.m. Thursday morning.
The vehicle that police are searching for is described as a white 2001-2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer, officials said. It possibly has damage to the driver-side with red paint from the motorcycle as well as a broken back windshield and a discolored passenger-side front wheel.
Anyone who believes they may have seen the car or has other useful information is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division at 215-685-3181 or anonymously online here.
