Central Current started with a few residents sitting around a table and sharing concerns about the massive changes unfolding across CNY. Would people be equipped with the information they need to advocate for themselves, or would key decisions continue to be made behind closed doors? Our first article was published in the summer of 2022 by our first reporter and current editor, Chris Libonati. Four years from that date, we have grown into a seven person newsroom with over 1,250 articles published and tens of thousands of monthly readers. We owe that progress to all of you – the folks building a life here in CNY who understand that an informed community is a healthy community. You’re invited to get to know some of the hardworking reporters behind the stories that matter the most to you, and consider buying them a drink.
