(Courtesy of Lancaster County Engineer's Office)LINCOLN–(KFOR July 6)–About a week after one county bridge reopened, Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman on Monday announce d that the F-181 bridge along West Waverly Road between NW 27th and NW 40th Streets is back open, after about $1.6-million worth of work was done to replace it. The bridge goes over a channel of Oak Creek north of Lincoln and was replaced because of stress cracks on the girder ends, plus the bridge deck was deteriorating and erosion of the Oak Creek channel bank caused movement of one of the support piers.  Work started in March 2025 and K2 Construction did the replacement work. On June 30, the K-144 bridge over Stevens Creek along Havelock Avenue reopened between 84th and 98th streets after six weeks of repairs. ...read more read less
