Flash flooding and damaging storms have become a “life-threatening situation” Sunday night as the extreme heat lets up.
Overnight, expect showers and storms.
The National Weather Service issued an Emergency Alert to people’s phones in Philadelphia saying that the flash flood threat is a
“dangerous and life-threatening situation” that will last until at least 3 a.m.
People are being urged not to leave their home unless they are fleeing flooding or under an evacuation order, according to the alert.
