Man arrested in Pa. after woman shot in the face in Delaware, police say

A Wilmington, Delaware man has been arrested after fleeing to Pennsylvania after, police claim, he shot a woman in the face in his home state on July 4, 2026.
According to police, 39-year-old Paul Waller of Wilmington, Delaware, was arrested in Pennsylvania — though, officials did not immediat
ely provide additional specifics on Waller’s arrest — following a shooting that happened in Wilmington, Del. the day before.
Police claim Waller was sought for his suspected involvement in a shooting that happened along the 2100 block of Marsh Road in Wilmington, Del., at about 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.
In this incident, police said, a 35-year-old woman was shot in the face and has been hospitalized after suffering a “serious injury.”
Police claim Waller shot the woman during an argument.
Waller has been arrested and has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm. Police said he is un custody while awaiting extradition to Delaware.
