Eight people were shot Saturday night in Brooklyn’s Coney Island, including four children ages 6, 7, 12, and 14, police sources told NBC New York. The shooting happened on Surf Avenue near the amphitheater. Police responded to reports of shots fired around 10:30 p.m. The adult victims range in age from 21 to 37. As of early Sunday morning, all the victims were reported to be alive. One victim, a 21-year-old female, was in critical condition. According to police, a firearm was recovered at the scene.
