Frisco woman sentenced to 25 years after conviction in infant hot car death

A North Texas woman has been found guilty of murder after investigators said she left her infant child in a hot car outside her workplace in Frisco.
Frisco police said 27-year-old Vanessa Esquivel left her 15-month-old child inside a vehicle in August 2025.
Investigators said the child was lef
t in the vehicle for more than two hours without working air conditioning while outside temperatures reached at least 95 degrees.
Esquivel was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
