The George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas is sharing a message from the president as it celebrates America’s 250th birthday with free admission and parking.
Guests celebrating America’s semiquincentennial at the center will be able to see a rare copy of the Declaration of Indep
endence, special exhibits, and take part in patriotic festivities. Guests will need to reserve tickets and register in advance.
As the country prepares for its birthday, President Bush reflected on what unites Americans and how we can help ensure the next 250 years are America’s strongest yet. In a short conversation posted on the institute’s website, the 43rd president talked about what July 4th means to him, the 1976 bicentennial, what unites the country and the “armies of compassion” he says will help lead America into its next 250 years.
In addition to special exhibits, the Bush Center houses a replica Oval Office, exhibits on Sept. 11, 2001 and an interactive experience in presidential decision-making through the Decision Points Theater.
The George W. Bush Presidential Center is on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
