OBJECTTo elect the fewest number of freaks, weirdos, hacks, and losers to create a somewhat functional government. CONTENTS1 Voter Registration1 Ballot1 Return Envelope1 Pen1 Ballot Box1 Stranger ElectionControl Board VoterGuide or Cheat Sheet1 Election INITIAL ASSEMBLYBefore filling out thei r (1) ballot, each player registers online at votewa.gov or in person at the County Elections Office in Renton or at a vote center. Players require a Washington State driver’s license, ID card, or the last four digits of their Social Security Number. Players must register online or by mail by July 27 and can register in-person through August 4, Election Day. Players who have moved or changed their names since last voting can confirm or update their registration online. GAME SETUP GETTING YOUR BALLOTPlayers will receive (1) ballot by mail from King County Elections 18 days before election day. If player does not receive (1) ballot, player can request a replacement at kingcounty.gov, call 206-296-VOTE, or email [email protected]. SETTING UP YOUR BALLOTPlayers remove (1) ballot from envelope and set down on flat, even surface. Open ballot. Place (1) pen in hand. GAME PLAY YOUR OBJECT. Vote The Stranger ticket. THE GAME. Notice the differences between the various“candidates” on (1) ballot. All have different names, party affiliations, and levels of intelligence. Ideas and platforms are different; some platforms will make things better; some platforms will make things worse. As you play, you’ll notice several differences between these “candidates.” Consult (1) Stranger Election Control Board Voter Guide or Cheat Sheet to identify these differences. BEGIN YOUR TURNAs you play, fill in the oval next to “candidate” names on your (1) ballot completely. Creativity will not be rewarded. After players fill in all correct bubbles on their (1) ballot, yes, even judges, players will fold their (1) ballot and place inside return envelope. Security envelope optional and will not affect the outcome of game. Players will lose game*† if they do not sign back of return envelope. Player signatures must match registration. Signatures can be anything, including fun or whimsical drawings, as long as they match. *If players neglect to sign return envelope, or sign return envelope incorrectly, they can rectify this issue. Game administrators at King County Elections will contact relevant players via phone, text, or email. †Players will also lose game by voting the Seattle Times ticket (expansion not included in box). Thiscannot be rectified. END YOUR TURNA turn is completed when players either (1) cast ballot by mail, which game administrators recommend‡ doing at least one week before Election Day. To end their turn without losing the game, player ballots must be postmarked by Election Day; (2) by dropping ballot in the nearest King County Elections drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day; or (3) casting vote at a voting center. Please consult game administrator’s manual for locations by visiting KingCounty.gov. ‡Per a new rule in the second edition of this game, the Trump Administration may, in a manner of speaking, end player turn prematurely with modified postmarking rules which impact play by making vote-by-mail option slower and less reliable. A ballot postmarked the day before (1) Election is not guaranteed to count and player could lose game. HOW TO WINVote The Stranger ticket.
