He later was named the president. He played with the team in 2011 whiel the NBA was in a lockout. In 2016, he released plans for the construction of LDLC ASVEL’s new home court. “I feel immense pride in taking on this responsibility within this legendary club. Returning to the court every day, experiencing the adrenaline of games again, and guiding a team in its development are challenges that deeply motivate me,” Parker said in a release. “My passion for the game remains undiminished, and with my entire staff, we will work tirelessly to instill a pervasive winning culture in order to build an ambitious future. This is the beginning of a new chapter, the first stone of a large-scale development project that we want to build for the long term. This new dynamic must be firmly established so that we can proudly represent Villeurbanne, Lyon, and French basketball.” This isn’t Parker’s first coaching position, he’s served as the head coach of the French U17 national team.
