(CNN)– There’s indication of a global shift away from U.S. currency called “De-dollarization.” A survey of 74 central banks from around the world finds that many plan to cut their dollar holdings instead of increase them. Instead many of the banks plan to invest in gold. It’s a sign tha t international banks think the U.S. dollar has become riskier reducing demand for the currency and its value.
