Park City police officers respond to ‘loud backyard concert,’ other noise complaints
Jun 29, 2026
The Park City Police Department in late June continued to respond to reports of noise and parties, as the community enters what is traditionally the busiest part of the summer-tourism season.
The cases appeared similar to those normally reported to the authorities during strong stretches in the
tourism industry. Summer tourism in Park City typically begins to climb just before Independence Day and then continues through Labor Day.
The Police Department will likely remain busy this week as the Fourth of July arrives. The most recent cases followed a week after the agency received a series of similar complaints.
The police in many of the cases typically classify the reports as suspected disturbing the peace.
Some of the recent cases included:
On Friday, June 26, at 11:48 p.m., music, described as loud, was reported on Main Street. The police were also told loud people were on a balcony.
On June 26 at 10:41 p.m., the police were informed of a party, described as noisy, on Deer Valley Drive. The person who contacted the Police Department indicated people were “talking very loudly” and music was playing.
On June 26 at 9:26 p.m., the police received a complaint about what was described as a “loud backyard concert” in the area of Sidewinder Drive and Buffalo Bill Drive.
On June 26 at 1:52 a.m., people in a hot tub on Rothwell Road were reportedly loud. The person who contacted the police did not hear music and was not sure of the number of people.
On Thursday, June 25, at 9:27 p.m., a party in a hot tub was reported on Rothwell Road. The people were loud, the police were told.
On June 25 at 11:16 p.m., a party in a hot tub was reported on Park Avenue. There was “a bunch of kids playing music” and “being too loud,” the police were told.
