6 PM WEATHER 6-29-26
INDIANAPOLIS — A WEATHER ALERT continues through at least Thursday for high heat humidity. Storm chances return by the weekend.
MONDAY EVENING/NIGHT:
Fair skies, warm, very muggy. Lows in the mid to low 70s. The full Strawberry Moon rises at 9:34 PM and it
will shine all night long.
TUESDAY-THURSDAY:
A HEAT ADVISORY remains in effect until at least 8 PM Thursday for all of Central Indiana. Afternoon heat indices may be as high as 109° and overnight lows in the 70s won’t provide much natural relief at night. Actual highs should be in the low to mid 90s.
Stay hydrated with water, use air conditioning, limit long exposure to the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Don’t forget about your furry friends either. There could be a few stray storms by Thursday afternoon.
FRIDAY-SUNDAY:
The long 4th of July weekend will continue to be hot and humid, but temperatures may tick down just a bit due to the chance of scattered storms each day. The holiday weekend doesn’t look like a washout, but summer storms will likely occur in the very humid airmass that will remain in place. Highs in the upper 80s to around 90 are currently expected with lows staying the 70s.
