Fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, marks the day in 1776 when America officially declared its independence from British rule, and Americans ha ve been celebrating ever since. This year marks a special anniversary since the good ol’ U.S.A. is commemorating its 250th birthday. Addison Addison Kaboom Town, July 3, 5 to 11 p.m. at Addison Circle Park  For four decades, Addison Kaboom Town! has attracted people from all over the country for a night of breathtaking fireworks, thrilling aerial shows, and more.  Arlington  Light Up Arlington, July 5, 6 p.m., in Downtown Arlington  Celebrate with fireworks, a drone show, and patriotic activities at the nearby Arlington Museum of Art and National Medal of Honor Museum. Festivities are free and open to the public. Independence Day Parade: July 4, 9 a.m. in Downtown Arlington  The Arlington Independence Day Parade is one of the longest-running annual events in Arlington, and has been named the Best Parade of Its Size in Texas for the third consecutive year by the Texas Festivals and Events Association. Bedford  4thFest, July 4, 5 to 10 p.m. at Generations Park at Boys Ranch  Bedford 4thFest will feature free live music from Downtown Fever Band, a kid’s zone, food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks show when the sun goes down. Admission is free.  Burleson  Red, White BTX, July 4, 4 p.m. at Chisenhall Fields  Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the city’s annual 4th of July celebration, featuring food trucks, a free concert, and a spectacular fireworks show. Gates open at 4 p.m., the headlining concert starts at 7:30 p.m., and fireworks start at 9:20 p.m. Lions Club Parade: July 4, 9 a.m. at Old Town Burleson The 22nd Annual Independence Day Parade is presented by the Burleson Lions Club and hosted in partnership with Atmos Energy and the City of Burleson.  Coppell  Party in the Park, July 4, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Andrew Brown Park East  The event will feature lawn games, festive photo opportunities, and fireworks. Plus, guests will see performances from Beach Boys tribute band Endless Summer and headliner Empire 6. Parade Down Parkway, July 4, 9 a.m. from Samuel Blvd. to Parkway Blvd. to Town Center Kick off Independence Day with the Parade Down Parkway! Be sure to line the parade route early for the best spot to see all the floats go by!  Sensory Sensitive 4th of July Celebration, July 3, 6 to 10 p.m. at The Sound at Cypress Waters  This free event offers a calmer environment for individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, veterans, and pets, with features such as a sound-controlled tribute band, a light show instead of fireworks, and a calm zone.  Crowley  Celebration of Freedom-Crowley Lights the Sky, July 11, 9 p.m. at 405 S. Oak Street The City of Crowley is hosting the Celebration of Freedom: “Crowley Lights the Sky” with a fireworks-only celebration. Enjoy the show together from neighborhoods across the city. Dallas  Klyde Warren Park Independence Day Celebration, July 4, 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Enjoy summer treats from a variety of food trucks, live music from Emerald City Band, family-fun programming and fireworks, presented by Crescent Row and Oncor, lighting up the Dallas skyline. This event is free and open to the public, and seating is first-come, first-served.  Independence Day Family Fun Weekend on July 3-5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dallas Arboretum  The Dallas Arboretum is participating in the Independence Day festivities with a family fun weekend. The event will include a petting zoo, historical tours, and live music.
