The Dallas Wings have lost back-to-back games for just the second time this season, and it again involved the Minnesota Lynx. Dallas struggled offensively in the first half, only scoring 29 points and committing eight turnovers. Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd scored a combined 46 points, but Min nesota had 4 players reach double-figures for points. The Wings only had Bueckers, Fudd, and 12 points from Maddie Siegrist. The Lynx have the best record in the WNBA, led by rookie of the year favorite Olivia Miles, who went to TCU last season. Miles scored another 21 points and added 8 assists, along with a technical foul and some notable confrontations with Paige Bueckers and Wings’ forward Jessica Shepard. The Wings fell to 11-8. The Wings and Lynx play one more time in Minnesota on Aug. 9. The Wings are headed on a two-week road trip to Connecticut, Toronto, and New York. Connecticut (4-15) has the worst record in the league and is in a transition phase, headed to Houston to revive the Comets franchise next season. Toronto is 9-10; New York is 12-8.
