MONROE, N.C. – Police in Monroe need help identifying an alleged “snatch and grab” jewelry thief. Surveillance video shows the suspect at Kay Jewelers on West Highway 74, around 6:45 Wednesday night. They say the video shows him just before he grabbed several pieces of high-value jewelry an d ran off. Investigators say the suspect has several distinct tattoos on his hands and wrists.
