A severe thunderstorm warning was issued Wednesday evening for northwest Cook County, according to the National Weather Service.Wind gusts of 60 mph were set to hit southern portions of the city before the warning was set to expire at 8:30 p.m. and a flood advisory was issued for Cook, DuPage and W ill counties until 10:30 p.m. A tornado warning was previously put in place for about an hour in northeastern Kane County and northwestern Cook County; it expired at 6:45 p.m.Quarter-sized hail and 70 mph winds, as well as "widespread tree damage," were reported in Bartlett around 6:36 p.m., according to the weather service.
