Police arrest man following lengthy pursuit through Northeast Philly

Police were captured on camera by NBC10’s Skyforce10 as they apprehended a suspect that was believed to have been sought in an aggravated assault investigation on Wednesday morning.
The incident unfolded at about 11:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning when police were involved in a pursuit with a blu
e Subaru Outback along Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia before eventually breaking off the pursuit.
However, just before noon, the individual that is believed to have been sought on an aggravated assault investigation and multiple warrants, ditched his vehicle at the intersection of Croydon and Almond streets in Philly’s Bridesburg community and fled on foot.
A vehicle that was believed to have been ditched by a man who was arrested by police following a pursuit through Northeast Philly on Wednesday.
But, officers eventually tracked the individual down and apprehended him in the area of the 2800 block of Hedley Street in Philly’s Bridesburg section.
Police did not immediately respond to requests for additional information on this incident.
