Jun 24, 2026
A woman is accused of attacking employees at a tire shop after they said they couldn’t fix her car, according to the Delaware State Police.
Amadi Muhammad, 32, went to Jose’s Tire Shop on the 3700 North Market Street and requested repairs to her car on June 19, 2026, just before 12:15 p.m.,
police said.
The employees told Muhammad that they could not do the services that she was asking for which led to an argument between her and the workers, officials explained. Muhammad refused to leave the store.
During the dispute, Muhammad is accused of grabbing one of the employees by their shirt and punching another employee, according to police.
Then, Muhammad drover her car toward an employee and almost hit them, officials said.
When Muhammad finally went to leave the parking lot, she crashed into a parked car, police reported.
None of the employees were hurt in this incident and the car owner did not pursue criminal charges after the collision.
Investigators were able to identify that Muhammad was the suspect and a warrant for her arrest was issued.
She was arrested in Wilmington on June 23 without incident.
Muhammad was charged with aggravated menacing, two counts of offensive touching and disorderly conduct. She is being held at the Delaware Department of Correction on a $5,000 secured bond.
