A woman was arrested and charged after police said she drove drunk and crashed her vehicle with two children in the car in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. According to the Forks Township Police Department, on May 31, 2026, around 7 p.m., officers responded to the  300 block of Paxinosa Road We st after receiving reports of a rollover crash. When officers got to the scene, police said they found a vehicle that had struck a rock and rolled onto the driver’s side. Inside the vehicle were the driver, Katelyn Cook, 33, and two children, police said. One child was not secured in a booster seat at the time of the crash, and both sustained minor injuries. Police said at the scene, an officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Cook’s breath. Cook then admitted to consuming alcohol before driving with the kids in the vehicle, according to police. Police reported that Cook was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to the hospital for treatment and a blood draw. The blood test results showed Cook’s BAC was 0.158%.
