A man was shot and killed in his car in broad daylight in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday, police said. The shooting occurred at the 9000 block of Frankford Avenue at around 3:51 p.m., police said. Léelo en español aquí The 23-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, was driving northbound on Frankford Avenue when he was shot in the face and shoulder. Medics took him out of the car and took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the hospital at 4:22 p.m., police said. Investigators told Telemundo 62’s Wilfredo Pacheco that the victim was allegedly shot while driving through the busy area near the AutoZone and other local businesses. The vehicle then veered off and crashed into the AutoZone parking lot. The shots came from another car driving northbound on Frankford Avenue, police said. The suspect car has been described as a light-colored sedan that had two people in it at the time of the shooting. At least seven bullet holes identified by officers in the rear passenger-side of the victim’s car.
