Wawa becomes the official hoagie of the Philadelphia Phillies
Jun 23, 2026
A glance around Citizens Bank Park during any Phillies home game could make one think that Wawa was already the most popular hoagie for baseball fans as the stadium has long allowed fans to bring in Wawa hoagies to eat during games.
But now, Wawa and the Philadelphia Phillies have made it offici
al.
On Tuesday, Wawa Inc. and the Philadelphia Phillies announced a partnership to name Wawa hoagies as the “Official Hoagie of the Philadelphia Phillies.”
“We are thrilled to be the Official Hoagie of the Philadelphia Phillies and can’t wait to provide double the hometown fun for fans this summer,” said Doug Martin, Chief Marketing Officer for Wawa in a statement. “We will continue to provide exciting announcements about how fans can score swag and details on upcoming products that are sure to be a hit with fans!”
In the first move to celebrate the new partnership, Wawa plans four — what organizers called — “activations” throughout the season that will allow fans to take part in partnership events.
The first “activation,” organizers said, would be held with a “Hoagiefest-themed experience” that will be held in the Third Base Plaza on Monday, June 29, 2026 as the Fightin’ Phils are set to take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Starting at 4:40 p.m., fans at the game will be able to get their hands on Hoagiefest shirts, bucket hats, koozies, coupons and other items.
Also, officials said, throughout the rest of the summer, Wawa will offer fans opportunities to win Phillies tickets and one-of-a-kind experiences, as well.
“Wawa is an iconic part of the Philadelphia community, and we’re excited to have them part of the fan experience at our award-winning ballpark,” said Brian Fling, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Phillies in a statement. “From Hoagiefest-themed fun to can’t miss activations, this new partnership will bring even more energy and hometown pride to Citizens Bank Park.”
Look for Wawa to also have an increased presence at Citizens Bank Park this year as part of this new partnership.
Also, in a statement, Wawa noted that Hoagiefest has returned and this year, the store is providing two meal-deal options:
$6 for a Shorti hoagie, wrap or chicken sandwich with a small bag of Herr’s chips and a small fountain drink
$8 for a Classic hoagie with a small bag of Herr’s chips and a small fountain drink
Wawa’s Hoagiefest runs now through July 26, 2026, in all the over 1,200 Wawa stores.
