(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR/News Release June 23)–Lincoln School Board members will hold a work session at 4:30pm Tuesday over at the Lincoln Public Schools District Office and Steve Joel Leadership Center, 5905 “O” Street, on the propo sed preliminary 2026-27 LPS budget. Questions and comments from the public will be welcomed by board members. The regular board meeting will start at 6pm Tuesday, with another public comment period.   Below is the list of opportunities to comment and learn more about the proposed LPS budget. Tuesday, June 23 4:30 p.m. – In-person presentation during Budget Work Session at Steve Joel District Leadership Center in the Boardroom. The session will be livestreamed on YouTube or LNK-TV Education Channel. There will be an opportunity for public comment. 6:00 p.m. – In-person regular Board of Education meeting with an opportunity to speak during public comment. Wednesday, June 24 7:00 a.m. – Online input form opens for the public to submit comments or questions (link can be found on website: lps.org/budget). The QA form will close on July 10. 12 p.m.  – Virtual public forum (link can be found on website: lps.org/budget) 7:00 p.m. – In-person public forum at Steve Joel District Leadership Center, Boardroom. The session will be livestreamed on YouTube.
