Sunday, June 21, marks Day 3 of the Wawa Welcome America festivities. Sunday’s events include free admission to multiple Philly-area museums, and free movie screenings at the Philadelphia Film Society Center, and Philly Fair 250’s second day. Read more information on the events below: Free Museum Days: Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Where: Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, 118-128 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19102  About: Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) contains a world-class, award-winning, collection of historic and contemporary art, as well as educational opportunities in the fine arts. The mission of PAFA is to tell America’s diverse story through art, broadening the artists highlighted in art history. *Tickets can be reserved ahead of your visit through the pre-registration link here. Free Museum Days: Ryerss Museum and Library When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Where: Ryerss Museum and Library, 7370 Central Avenue, Burholme Park, Philadelphia, PA 19111  About: The Ryerss Museum and Library, located in Burholme Park, features collections of family heirlooms, decorative and visual art and artifacts. The library has a variety bestselling books, periodicals, and popular non-fiction that visitors can take home at the end of their visit. *Pre-registration is required, email [email protected] to register. Free Museum Days: Elfreth’s Alley Museum When: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Where: Elfreth’s Alley Museum, 126 Elfreth’s Alley, Philadelphia, PA 19106  About: Elfreth’s Alley is the nation’s oldest continuously inhabited residential streets, dating back to 1703. The majority of the homes in the Alley are privately owned, but #124 and #126 are the Elfreth’s Alley Museum, telling the story of its historical residents. Free Movie Days When: Maybe This Year (2019) at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Where: Philadelphia Film Center, 1412 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19102  About: The Philadelphia Film Society is offering two-weeks of free movie screenings by and about Philadelphia. All films will be showing at the Main Screen at the Center. Philly Fair 250 – Day 2 When: 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Where: Centennial District, Avenue of the Republic E Memorial Hall Drive  About: New to Wawa Welcome America this year is the Philly Fair 250. Food trucks will serve dishes representing flavors from America’s original 13 colonies. Skilled instructors will be leading trapeze lessons and hot air balloon rides. The National Liberty Museum will display a life-sized replica of Liberty Bell. Stay until the end of the night, where Pink Sweat$ will take the stage, followed by a fireworks display.  Parking for Philly Fair 250 will be available at the Philadelphia Zoo at the Giraffe Lot on Girard Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nighttime parking will be available in the Zoo Garage on Girard Avenue and the Tiger Lot on 34th Street from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to get tickets ahead of the event, admission and seating will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. ...read more read less
