A 19-year-old man died after a shooting Thursday night at a McKinney apartment complex, police said. Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. June 19 to a report of shots fired at the Larkin Apartments, located at 2301 W. White St. When officers arrived, they found Jose Herberto Martin, 19, inside a vehicle in the apartment complex parking lot with a gunshot wound to the neck, according to police. Martin was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The McKinney Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating the shooting.
