TODAY A few sprinkles are possible early this morning, then the day turns partly sunny and seasonably warm. Highs reach around 80, with a west wind around 5 to 10 mph. Most of the day looks usable for outdoor plans, with the better rain chances holding off until later tonight.   TONIG HT Clouds thicken and showers become more likely overnight, especially late. Lows settle near the low 60s, with a light south to southeast breeze around 5 mph. It does not look like a washout from start to finish, but the overnight period trends wetter as the next system moves in.   TOMORROW This looks like the wetter and more active day of the weekend. Expect mostly cloudy skies with periods of rain, some heavy at times, and a thunderstorm possible in the afternoon. Highs stay in the upper 70s, with a light southeast breeze around 5 to 10 mph. Localized flooding is the main concern if heavier pockets of rain set up over the same areas.   TOMORROW NIGHT Rain and a few thunderstorms remain possible into the evening, then the trend should be toward decreasing coverage later overnight. Lows hold near the low 60s, with a light wind becoming southwest late. Roads could stay wet for a while, especially if heavier rain lingers into the first half of the night.   MONDAY  Mainly cloudy, humid, and breezy with another thunderstorm chance. Highs reach the mid 70s, with a northwest wind around 10 to 15 mph, especially by later in the day. Compared with Sunday, rain coverage looks lower, but there is still enough moisture around for a shower or storm to interrupt daytime plans.   MONDAY NIGHT Cooler and less humid air starts to work in. Lows fall into the mid 50s, with a northwest breeze around 5 to 10 mph. Quiet weather becomes more likely overnight, and this looks like a much cleaner setup than the previous two nights.   TUESDAY Partial sunshine returns with a more comfortable feel. Highs reach the upper 70s, with a light west to northwest breeze around 5 to 10 mph. This looks like one of the better days of the stretch for anything outside.   TUESDAY NIGHT Partly cloudy and seasonably cool, with lows near 60 and light wind. Dry weather holds through the night with no meaningful weather issues. 7 DAY FORECAST The main weather story is the widespread rain from Sunday into early Monday, with heavy rain and an isolated stronger storm possible before cooler, drier air settles in for Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures stay near to a little below normal for much of the period, with highs mostly in the 70s after the weekend system moves through. By Thursday and Friday, the pattern still looks mostly quiet with only low-end shower chances returning. ...read more read less
