CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a homicide in the 1100 block of Scaleybark Road, near East Woodlawn Road. It happened around 10pm Friday night. Police say when they got to the scene, a woman was found dead inside an apartment at the Charlotte Woods Apartments. C MPD says they received multiple 911 calls, and that there were reports of a man and a woman fighting. News crews saw bullet holes in the building, and asked if it was a deadly shooting. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Major Brad Koch said the woman had not been shot. He declined to say anything else about her manner of death.
