Deer Valley World Cup to return in late January
Jun 19, 2026
Deer Valley Resort announced the return of the Deer Valley World Cup on Wednesday.
Set to take place Jan. 28-30, 2027, at the resort, the event features moguls and aerials competitions with the best skiers in the world, most of whom competed in the Milano Cortina Olympics in February.
Thi
s World Cup will mark the 25th Deer Valley World Cup. This past season’s event was moved to Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, and Lake Placid, New York, because of low snowfall levels. The 2026 Deer Valley World Cup was scheduled weeks earlier than usual because of the 2026 Olympics.
The Deer Valley World Cup is often the highlight of the moguls and aerials season, especially for Park City and U.S. skiers, because of the sweeping crowds and nighttime competitions.
“This year’s World Cup is the 29th year that Deer Valley Resort has hosted elite international ski competitions,” the resort said. “The Freestyle International presented by Stifel will feature moguls, dual moguls and aerials World Cup events on the renowned 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games courses.”
Tickets will be available in the fall.
With the competitions only taking place on the Champion moguls run and the White Owl aerials jumps, Deer Valley stays open for public skiing during the entire event.
“It’s great,” said Parkite Nick Page, the top-ranked American in men’s moguls, on the event’s return. “It was definitely something everyone missed last year. … (Deer Valley does) so much for our freestyle community and our sport.”
Page is also excited for the return of the Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, World Cup the week before Deer Valley on Jan. 22 and 23. The last time there were two U.S. moguls World Cups in the same season was 2025.
To see the remainder of the moguls and aerials World Cup schedule, see FIS’ website. Both seasons will conclude in March in Montafon, Austria, with the freestyle World Championships.
