JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) A Cole County man suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash Thursday night on Highway 50. The 57-year-old motorcyclist from Russellville was not wearing a helmet while driving on Highway 50 westbound, just west of the Tri-Level in Jefferson City, according t o a Jefferson City Police Department news release. The man lost control of his 2015 Honda Goldwing and was thrown from the bike, police say. He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Honda was towed from the scene. The crash investigation closed a lane of Highway 50 for about an hour, JCPD stated. The driver remained in critical condition Friday morning, according to police.
