Highway 115 reopens, evacuation notice lifted near Penrose

Highway 115 is back open north of Penrose, and an evacuation order has been lifted, according to officials.A mandatory evacuation that was issued for all of Fremont County Road F45 has also been lifted, and the fire is now 100%
contained.According to the sheriff's office, the KO Fire near Mile Marker 20 on Fremont County Road F45. The fire is estimated to have burned 64 acres.According to the Fremont County Sheriff's Office, gusty winds and dry fuel in the area caused some challenges for fire crews.
