The interactive experience features 47 themed rooms and invites players of all ages to test their mental and physical skills over 90 minutes. “It’s a next-level team adventure,” said Kevin Madden, head of regional production at Fever, the company bringing Prison Island to Indianapolis. Madden described how Prison Island offers a unique mix of clever puzzles and physical tasks designed to challenge a variety of abilities. “Players move through these themed ‘cells,’ each with a distinct challenge, like the submarine room or Dance 21, which adds some rhythmic fun,” he said. Each participant wears a scoring bracelet that tracks progress, fostering a competitive yet collaborative atmosphere. “The bracelet system lets players see how many points they’ve scored as they work together to unlock challenges and rack up points,” Madden said. This feature encourages teamwork while also keeping the experience light and engaging for all ages. Unlike traditional escape rooms where players are locked in one space, Prison Island allows visitors to move freely between the 47 different challenge rooms. “You’re not stuck there. If maybe you’re not succeeding in that game, you can go to the next one,” Madden said.
