MONROE, N.C. – A wanted fugitive with multiple outstanding warrants was arrested following a police pursuit in Union County, according to the Monroe Police Department. It happened just before 11 a.m. Wednesday morning in Monroe when an officer located a vehicle that was involved in a larceny on T uesday. When the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver, identified as 25-year-old Joseph Singleton, immediately fled west toward Charlotte. Police said they successfully used tire deflation devices to disable the vehicle, and brought Singleton into custody. Singleton had six outstanding warrants and an active felony probation violation, police said.
