Longtime newspaper photographer Sarah Gordon is joining The Connecticut Mirror as its next staff photojournalist. Gordon will work alongside CT Mirror’s reporters and editors to develop stories and make images. Gordon has been a newspaper photographer for more than 15 years. She comes to CT Mirror from The Day of New London, where she spent nine years as a staff photographer, working on both daily assignments and long-term projects. She has also worked at newspapers in Ohio and Washington. “We are delighted that Sarah is joining the team at CT Mirror,” Managing Editor Stephen Busemeyer said. “She brings a wealth of talent and shares a commitment to the readers that is the hallmark of our newsroom.” Gordon has won multiple awards from the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists, the New England Newspaper Press Association, National Press Photography and others.
