A family-owned barbecue spot that has fed the Cedar Hill community for years is shutting its doors for good later this month. One of the owners told The Dallas Morning News that rising beef prices, part of a nationwide surge in food costs, helped drive the decision. Mija Barbecue has been a Cedar Hill mainstay for about seven years, owner Ryan Siegler said. Like many other barbecue joints, the brisket is a staple at Mija. Other popular orders include brisket grilled cheese, and pork belly burnt ends.
