At 5:02 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued an updated severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 10 p.m. for Allegany, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Jefferson, Lewis, Ontario, Oswego and Wayne counties.
