Eagle Creek Swimming Beach in Indianapolis now open for the season

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One of the nation’s largest city parks is welcoming swimmers to cool off for the Summer.
The Eagle Creek Swimming Beach is open six days a week for the 2026 season.
The beach is free to access with entry inside Eagle Creek Park. On-duty lifeguards supervise th
e 200-foot-long permitted swimming area, extending 50 feet from the shore. Free life jackets are available for swimmers.
Coolers and picnics are allowed, though alcohol, glass containers, dogs, and floats are prohibited.
Swimming Beach Hours:
Monday – CLOSED
Tuesday – 11am-6pm (closing at 5pm on concert days).
Wednesday – 11am-6pm (closing at 5pm on concert days).
Thursday – 11am-6pm.
Friday – 11am-8pm.
Saturday – 11am-6pm.
Sunday – 12pm-6pm.
*CLOSED Saturday June 20 for a rowing regatta.
*Opening late Saturday July 18 for Sprint Triathlon 12pm-6pm.
Vehicle admission is $6 for Marion County residents and $8 for non-residents.
The beach, located at 7602 Eagle Beach Drive in Indianapolis, is just one of the ways to enjoy the 1,400 acres of water and 3,900 acres of forest inside Eagle Creek Park.
