At 2:47 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 10 p.m. for Allegany, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Wayne and Wyoming counties.
