Harbor Drive has reopened to traffic after being shut down for about a a week following a BNSF train derailment, city officials announced Saturday night. Crews from the City of San Diego and BNSF installed new temporary support structures for the bridge column and will continue to work together on plans for a permanent repair, the city said. The bridge was closed after a BNSF freight train derailed and damaged a support beam beneath a bridge near the Convention Center in East Village.
