Muchneeded change
Jun 13, 2026
Wasatch County Republicans are facing a big decision on June 23 during the Republican primary. We have the opportunity to elect a new sheriff after nearly eight years.
Jeremy Hales, who is the current Wasatch County emergency management and 911 director, is running against incumbent Jared Ri
gby.
Eric Mainord withdrew from the sheriff race after ballots had already been printed, so his name is on the ballot but he is not running, Please do not vote for Eric, as your vote will not count.
Jared Rigby has been elected unopposed twice. He has been investigated multiple times for multiple reasons, costing the state of Utah and Wasatch County tens of thousands of dollars. He is currently being investigated for alleged obstruction of justice in the Kori Richins’ trial in Summit County. A simple and quick internet search will turn up dozens of articles describing these investigations and findings.
We cannot allow this to continue! The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office is in urgent need of strong, ethical and credible leadership to restore integrity and to restore trust — both within our county and among law enforcement professionals in neighboring communities.
Jeremy Hales possesses the leadership experience and qualities necessary to accomplish this, but he must win in the upcoming primary election. Learn more about him at jeremyhalesforsheriff.com.
Please support a much-needed change and vote for Jeremy Hales for Wasatch County sheriff.
